With winter winding down and spring sprouts showing, it's time to turn on the MOJO. Nashville's UNTITLED Artists' Group welcomes you to its 2010 Spring show "MOJO," Friday, March 26 from 6 to 10 p.m. This free, all-ages, one-night-only art event will take place at BB King's Blues Club downtown at 152 2nd Avenue North, Nashville, TN.
Here Nashville's emerging and innovative artists will get their groove on, get in the swing of spring and get their mojo working in the group's first show of 2010. "MOJO" is the latest in a series of successful quarterly exhibitions that support artistic innovation and offer alternative visual art in non-traditional spaces. In addition to featuring some of Nashville's most unique and diverse artists, this one-night event includes a string quartet, door prizes, food and drink and affordable art.
BB King's Blues Club & Restaurant offers a great selection of drinks, Creole cuisine and live blues. The joint is located just north of Broadway on Second Avenue in the heart of downtown Nashville. Street parking will be limited. Addition parking may be found at the lot at Church St. and 2nd Ave. Enter the building and proceed to the bottom floor.
Patrons may purchase artwork by cash or check and may take their pieces home with them at 10 p.m. the evening of the show. There will also be a section for patrons to purchase a variety of small works and crafts by participating artists. This gives everyone a chance to purchase an affordable piece of art by local artists.
The Harlequin String Quartet and Kill Paris will provide the soundtrack to the event.
Door prizes will be awarded throughout the night by our "MOJO" sponsors: Deez Decks, MomShellFitness, Signs Now Lebanon, SilverMoonImages, Flava Boutique, The Score of Cool Springs, Cafe Bosna.
Prizes for participating artists will be provided by Dr. Sketchy's Anti Art School, Jerry's Artarama and Plaza Artist Materials.
