Edward Thorp Gallery, Borrowed Time

The Edward Thorp Gallery will present a group exhibition based on the concept of time. This exhibit will address this theme in a variety of mediums including painting, drawing, prints, photography, and decorative arts. Approximately 40 works will be presented and will be on view from October 25 through January 12, 2012.
The variety of works reveals the potential for art to profoundly adjust our psychological engagement with the concept of time. The exhibition looks at how time is used—as form, content, and medium within various artistic pursuits—exploring this dialogue with objects by artists and artisans from a wide historical range that employ unorthodox and distinctive approaches.
Artists to be included are Marcel Duchamp, Harold Edgerton, Piero Fornasetti, Philip Guston, Duane Michals, Eadweard Muybridge, Man Ray, Paul Strand, Ed Ruscha, Albert York, as well as many anonymous.
Edward Thorp Gallery is located at 210 Eleventh Avenue, 6th Fl, New York, NY. Hours: Tues.-Sat., 11am to 6pm. Call 212.691.6565, email edwardthorpgallery@gmail.com or visit www.edwardthorpgallery.com for more information.
