On Friday, January 25th from 5:30-7:30 PM, the Gladstone Arts Commission will host our annual art opening dedicated to the North Kansas City School District. Winnetonka, North Kansas City, Staley and Oak Park High Schools will all be showing their very best at the Gladstone Community Center, located at 6901 N. Holmes.
This year's exhibition will feature a collection of new work by students enrolled in the Advanced Placement Studio Art course, which is offered in all four high schools. Students in the Advanced Placement course will create small images - 5 X 7 inches in size - for this exhibition. Seven artworks representing each school will be selected by NKCSD art teachers for hanging. Works from the most talented and serious art students should prove to be a very exciting exhibition. The Arts Commission is thrilled to bring local young talent to the Gladstone Community Center. Light refreshments will be served.
